35th Annual
Briarwood Scholarship Foundation Day
Tuesday, August 1st, 2023

Briarwood Country Club provides us with a great deal of enjoyment, fun, and community. One of Briarwood’s great annual events is Scholarship Day, which was specifically formed to provide educational financial assistance to our employees and/or their children. Many members tell us that Scholarship Night is the highlight of the season.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2024 we will host the 36th annual Briarwood Scholarship Day. Since its inception in 1989, the Foundation has awarded over 535 scholarships totaling over $2,400,000! In 2023, we gave out 27 grants totaling $159,000. The scholarship program is a great source of pride for Briarwood members as we show support and appreciation for our wonderful staff whom we like to refer to as our Briarwood family.

The Foundation raises almost all of its annual funding during the weeks leading up to Scholarship Day. The contributions are vital to meet the growing needs of our scholarship recipients, whose costs continue to rise. In addition to our creative golf event, we also have a number of other opportunities to participate, such as our raffle, hole sponsorships, and packs of tribute cards.

We will also be continuing our recognized donor support levels (Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace) for stand-alone gifts made separate of any other donations and costs for the day.

Lastly, we have had a number of specially-funded named scholarships over the years sponsored by individual members or families. Named scholarships can be a one-time gift ($5,000) or structured to last for several years. In an effort to create additional funding options, and in response to requests from members, the Foundation offers legal agreements to fund both limited ($25,000) and perpetual (minimum of $50,000) endowments. If you are interested in participating in any of these generous opportunities, please contact any of the Foundation directors to discuss further.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and support! We look forward to seeing you on August 6th, 2024!

One of Briarwood’s best annual events is Scholarship Day, which was specifically formed to provide educational financial assistance to our employees and/or their children. Many members tell us that Scholarship Night is the highlight of the season.

Scholarship Day is held annually on the first Tuesday in August. The fun golf tournament is followed by a special banquet that evening for all members, whether you golf or not. If you have not had the opportunity to experience the scholars’ dinner in the past, we can’t emphasize enough how wonderfully moving the night is, and truly hope you will attend this year.

This summer will be the 35th Briarwood Scholarship Day! Since its inception in 1989, the Foundation has awarded over 510 scholarships totaling over $2,244,000! In 2022, we gave out 24 grants totaling $168,200. The scholarship program is a great source of pride for our members as we show support and appreciation for our wonderful staff whom we all affectionately refer to as our Briarwood family.
